Salt Lake City Takes Wild Card Series in Deciding Game
A classic and dramatic Wild Card Series has wrapped up, with the Salt Lake City Locusts outlasting the Denver Grizzlies to advance to the League Championship Series.

Salt Lake City won the final game by a score of 11-4 and took the series 4-3.

"We can enjoy this one tonight, but then it's back to work and thinking about the next win," said Salt Lake City right fielder Mark Sweeney, whose standout performance earned him the nod as series MVP.

Sweeney hit .448 with a .515 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 6 runs.

The Salt Lake City Locusts will play against the Phoenix Fireballs in the next round. Phoenix won their series against the New Orleans Pelicans 4 games to 3. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Wild Card Series finishes.
