Locusts Win, Anderson goes 4-for-4
|
Salt Lake City shortstop Glenn Anderson made his presence felt in the 8-3 Locusts triumph over the New Orleans Pelicans. Anderson was 4-4 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 4 runs. Salt Lake City starter Shawn Clark was credited with the win after throwing 105 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 6-5. With the win, Salt Lake City goes to 37-39, while the Pelicans fall to 47-29.
In the top of the fourth, Pedro Rodríguez delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the Salt Lake City center fielder hit a 2-run single, putting the Locusts in front, 8-3.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Rodríguez.
