Hollywood Extends Series Lead in Low-Scoring Affair
With starter Jesús Chávez leading the charge, the Hollywood Stars defeated the San Jose Owls, 3-2, in Game 2 of the Wild Card Series. The left-hander threw 8.0 innings of 3-hit ball at Gilmore Field to help Hollywood take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.

In the bottom of the fifth, José Cruz delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and a runner on 1st, the Hollywood left fielder hit a run-scoring double, putting the Stars in front, 3-2.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Cruz told the Hollywood Daily.

Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday at Ballpark of San Jose in San Jose.
