Seattle Win Wild Card Series
The Seattle Rainiers didn't hold back their excitement after beating the Los Angeles Angels in the Wild Card Series tonight.

Members of the team rushed onto the field and celebrated joyously when the victory became official, with a 7-3 win moving the club on to the League Championship Series, clinching a 4-2 series win in front of the Sick's Stadium crowd.

"This isn't the big one, but of course we need to get through this before we can win a Series of the West, so it's an important step," said Daniel Fernández as he took a break from celebrating. "Our guys are happy and excited to be moving on."

Fernández was named series MVP, as he hit .364 with a .423 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 6 runs.

On the other side of the diamond, there was desolation. Many members of the Angels sat stone-faced in their dugouts, simply watching Seattle celebrate.

The Seattle Rainiers will play against the Hollywood Stars in the next round. Hollywood won their series against the Mexico City Aztecs 4 games to 1. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Wild Card Series finishes.
