San Jose Win Evens Series at 3
The San Jose Owls and the Hollywood Stars will take the Wild Card Series to a decisive 7th game. Facing a must-win situation, the Owls shut out the Stars, 4-0, at Gilmore Field to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. San Jose right-hander Mike Stewart did his part. He threw 5.2 innings of shutout ball.

Phil Benson, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2011 draft, had a direct impact on the outcome. Benson contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put San Jose up, 2-0.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Benson said after the game.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Gilmore Field in Los Angeles.
