Beavers Clip Rainiers, 3-2, in WCS Contest
The Portland Beavers and the Seattle Rainiers will take the Wild Card Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Beavers beat the Rainiers, 3-2, at Sick's Stadium to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Portland left fielder Jim Poole hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice.

The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until Poole delivered big-time for Portland, stroking a dramatic solo home run off Kevin Banks. The game-changing hit put the Beavers on top, 3-2.

Poole called the win "a team effort."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Sick's Stadium in Seattle.
