Seals Win at Home, 2-0
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Long Beach Ports and San Francisco Seals get after it.
San Francisco starter Edgardo García kept the Long Beach offense from doing much damage. The left-hander leaned on his slider in leading the Seals to a 2-0 win. García got the win, improving to 6-4. He gave up 6 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. He allowed no runs. Lee Graves notched his 11th save in 15 chances.
Juan Vázquez helped his team take an early lead with a run-scoring single. It came in the first inning, making the score 1-0, Seals.
"We found a way to win tonight," Vázquez said.
Their 35-43 record puts the Seals 5th in the Pacific Coast League North.
