The New Orleans Pelicans beat the Reno Silver Sox, 3-2. New Orleans pitcher and Fountainbleau, Florida, native Ronnie Gordon led the way. The 4th-place Pelicans now have a record of 38-42.

Wes Ballenger helped out the New Orleans cause in the top of the fourth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the right fielder went 1-4.

"Every loss hurts," said Reno manager Zach Ames. "But this was a tough one."
