Cowboys Walk It Off for 42nd Win of Season
The Austin Cowboys picked up a win at Clark Field, topping the Houston Lone Stars, 6-3. On the mound for Austin was right-hander Rafael Infante. He played a principal role in the triumph. The win went to Will Goodwin in relief. His record improves to 5-3. Rubén Rodríguez took the loss. The first-place Lone Stars have dropped 4 straight games.

Austin got a clutch hit from Wilson Pérez. The second baseman launched a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"Rafael did a really nice job of taking the ball and giving us a chance to win the game," said Austin manager John Kolman.
