Kansas City got a terrific game from pinch hitter Steve Carter. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Homer, 8-6. Carter was 1-1 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Jack Martin, now 1-1, was credited with the win in 1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 1 and walking 0. Roy Roberts closed out the game, earning his 5th save.

Homer needed the clutch hitting of Daniel Clements to seal the deal. The catcher swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Yetis on top, 8-6. For the game, Clements had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

In postgame remarks, Clements simply said: "Here's to a great win!"

The win puts Homer at 5-4.
