|
Starting pitcher Félix Brito was a major factor in the 3-1 San Bernardino Stallions triumph over the San Diego Breakers. The winning pitcher was Brito, now 3-4. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 8. Tommy Anderson earned the save, his 1st in 1 tries.
Had Won-u Cho not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Cho hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Stallions.
"Makes our job easier," said Cho, "when our pitchers shut the opposition down."
With the win, the Stallions are 23-59.
