Jenkins Magic in 2-0 Shutout Monday, June 8th , 2015 The Oakland Acorns struggled at the plate against Seals hurler Cornell Jenkins, who shackled them on 5 hits while hurling a complete-game 2-0 shutout. "What can you say? We didn't hit well," said Acorns skipper Larry G in postgame comments. "Hopefully we shake this off and bounce back tomorrow." Jenkins finished the game with 5 strikeouts and no walks in an excellent mound performance. "He pitched real well," San Francisco manager Jamming Econo said. "Cornell made pitches when he had to. He hit his spots and did a great job of mixing in his changeup and using his fastball effectively." On the year, Jenkins has compiled a 8-2 mark with a 1.79 ERA.
