PL Selects Rookie Star of the Month Wednesday, July 1st , 2015 Last month Mario Encarnación tantalized and tamed Pioneer League teams and ran up 1 victories. In addition the Kansas City starter also was awarded the league's Rookie of the Month trophy. He was honored for his outstanding performance during the month of June. Encarnación coasted through the PL with 1 win and 1 loss and a 0.00 ERA as he struck out 6 in 10 innings and held opposing hitters to a .162 batting average. So far this season, in 21 relief appearances Encarnación has compiled an ERA of 0.42. He has pitched 21.2 innings, struck out 16, walked 12 and registered 8 saves. |
