Savino III Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Sunday, July 5th , 2015 Pedro Savino III, center fielder for the Portland Beavers, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 2 hits in his club's 9-4 victory over the Mexico City Aztecs at Estadio Tenochtitlan. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Pedro Savino III flied out in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, walked in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. Savino III currently has a .336 batting average with 95 hits, 17 homers, 44 RBIs, 61 runs scored and a .451 OBP. |
