Juárez Razor-Sharp, Shuts Out Mexico City
Sunday, July 26th , 2015
Paco Juárez of the San Diego Breakers was masterful, pitching a 2-hit shutout, 1-0, against the Mexico City Aztecs.
By going the distance, he was at the same time able to give his bullpen a rest, a fact appreciated by San Diego manager RT Smith.
"It's nice to have someone who can do that from time to time," he said. "He had command of every ball and every pitch. Great location, too."
Juárez had 4 strikeouts and 4 walks in the outing.
Checking out his stats for the season, Juárez has notched 7 wins and 7 losses in 20 starts. His ERA is 3.55 and he's struck out 91 batters in 111.2 innings.
