Barton Makes Record Book, Slams 4 HR

In a game for the ages, Portland Beavers second baseman David Barton launched 4 home runs at Sick's Stadium against the Seattle Rainiers.
Time after time, Barton found his stroke against the shell-shocked Rainiers pitching staff, finishing with 6 RBIs and scoring 4 times as the Beavers grabbed the 7-5 victory.
"They pitch 'em and I hit 'em. I just did it a little better than them today," Barton said to reporters after his historic game. "I won big today, but they might get me out 4 times tomorrow."
David Barton hit a solo-shot off Pedro Romero in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Pedro Romero in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Pedro Romero in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Juan RodrÃguez in the 8th.
This year, Barton is hitting .500 with 9 hits, 4 home runs, 8 RBIs and has scored 5 runs.
