Phoenix's Reyes Snaps Up August Batting Award Tuesday, September 1st , 2015 In the last year of his deal with Phoenix, Stanford Reyes has created some waves by winning August's Pioneer League Batter of the Month title today. He put up a solid .535 batting average with 7 home runs, 15 RBIs and 24 runs scored. He also worked PL pitchers for 12 walks and a .602 on-base percentage. If he keeps churning out numbers like these, the 36-year-old is sure to draw some attention when contract time rolls around. At the moment, Reyes is batting .328 with 16 home runs and 45 RBIs. He has played in 112 games and scored 64 times. |
