#300 for Reyes
Friday, September 4th , 2015
It was a historic day for Phoenix's fine left fielder Stanford Reyes. He slammed home run number 300 in the Fireballs 6-2 loss to the Denver Grizzlies at Pyro Center.
He told reporters after the game that he was disappointed in losing the game. "It's great to get that many homers, but I don't play for homers -- I play to win. That's the name of the game."
In his milestone-making game Reyes went 1 for 3, scored 1 run and collected 2 runs batted in. That home run put him in a select group of ballplayers.
In his 1926-game career Reyes is batting .274 with 336 doubles, 74 triples, 300 home runs and 932 RBIs. He has stolen 301 bases and scored 976 times.
