Hits Galore: Cruz Drills 5 Hits Sunday, April 24th , 2016 José Cruz was sizzling at the plate. In a game played at Gilmore Field, the Hollywood left fielder blistered the San Bernardino Stallions for 5 hits in 6 at-bats to pace his club to a good 17-3 victory. "Cruz was too tough to get out," Stallions skipper Brick B said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." José Cruz doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th.
