Acorns Out of Playoff Race Monday, October 5th , 2015 Oakland Acorns starting pitcher Richard Miles said it is a "bitter disappointment" for he and his teammates to miss the playoffs. The remarks came hours after the club was mathematically eliminated from 2015 postseason contention. Oakland last appeared in the postseason in 2006. This is their 9th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 44 times in their 59-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Acorns have missed the playoffs 7 times. Oakland last won the Series of the West in 2001. |
