CL Honors Valenzuela, #1 Batter in April Sunday, May 1st , 2016 Carlos Valenzuela is in the final year of his contract with Long Beach and today added a timely piece of hardware to his trophy case. Playing in 25 games in April the 29-year-old left fielder ripped Pacific Coast League pitchers for a .411 batting average, nabbing him the Batter of the Month award. He also rang up 4 home runs, 23 RBIs and 16 runs scored. If Valenzuela keeps up this pace, he'll cost someone a lot of money. |
