Vásquez Runs Hit String to 32 Straight Games

José Vásquez's hitting streak is becoming the talk of Minneapolis. The 36-year-old right fielder extended it once again, this time bringing it to 32 games with a 2-for-5 performance against the Kansas City Jacks. The Millers won the game, 10-2.
"People are starting to bring it up to me when I'm around town," he said. "It's getting stressful." José Vásquez flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and struck out in the 8th.
This year, Vásquez has collected a .372 batting average to date with 35 hits in 94 at-bats, 13 RBIs, 2 home runs and scored 20 times. He has played in 24 games.
