Jacks End Vásquez Streak
Wednesday, May 4th , 2016
Minneapolis Millers right fielder José Vásquez and his hot bat finally met their match at Nicollet Park.
The Kansas City Jacks snapped his 33-game hitting string, holding Vásquez hitless in 4 at-bats and also whipping Minneapolis, 8-2, for good measure.
"We're real pleased with this one," Jacks manager Marcus Jelks said. "Nobody wants to be on the wrong end of a streak like that, and clobbering Minneapolis makes it even sweeter."
This year, Vásquez is hitting at a .363 pace with 3 home runs and 15 RBIs. He has played in 26 games and scored 21 times.
