PL Reliever of the Year Award Winner Named Monday, November 2nd , 2015 They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks, but in the case of Kent Hopkins of the Denver Grizzlies, you don't have to - his old tricks worked just fine in 2015. The 37-year-old veteran turned in a sparkling performance and has won the Pioneer League Reliever of the Year Award. He captured the award with 43 saves in 70 relief appearances, 71 strikeouts and 16 walks in 82.2 innings. He put up a record of 5-4 to go with his 3.05 ERA. Will Goodwin of the Austin Cowboys finished second in voting, while Mario Encarnación of the Kansas City Jacks finished third. |
