Austin Trades Loeve for Seattle's Vázquez Monday, June 6th , 2016 In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the Austin Cowboys and the Seattle Rainiers have agreed to a deal that will have 17-year old minor league RF Miles Loeve, 30-year old LF Pat Franks, and a 2nd round draft pick heading to Seattle in exchange for 33-year old 3B Daniel Fernández and 29-year old LF Juan Vázquez. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games. Austin will retain a portion of Franks's remaining contract. Seattle will retain a portion of Fernández's remaining contract. This year, Vázquez has batted at a .301 pace with 52 hits, 18 home runs, 49 RBIs and scored 33 times. |
