Shaffer Smacks 3 Out of the Park Saturday, June 11th , 2016 For Dave Shaffer, it was not an average day at the ballpark. Fans at Clark Field watched Shaffer power the Reno Silver Sox to a win, 11-1, over the Austin Cowboys, blasting a trifecta of home runs. "I've always loved hitting in Clark Field," the second baseman told reporters following his big day. "You can see the ball so well." For the game, he collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats, scored 4 runs and had 3 RBIs. Dave Shaffer flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Rafael Infante in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Millard Cagle in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Steve Johnson in the 8th.
