San Diego-Seattle Announce Swap Monday, June 13th , 2016 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Breakers announced today the acquisition of 35-year old RHP Robinson Pérez, 36-year old CF Fred Aplin, and $8,000,000 in cash from the Seattle Rainiers in exchange for a 5th round draft pick and a 8th round draft pick. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Breakers, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." Looking at his season stats, Aplin has compiled a .211 batting average and a .285 on-base percentage, while hitting 5 home runs and driving in 15 runs. |
