Seattle Trades Wright for San Francisco's Checchinato Monday, June 13th , 2016 The Seattle Rainiers have made a deal sending 31-year old C Robert Wright, 26-year old SS Elliot Newman, and $2,500,000 in cash to the San Francisco Seals for 17-year old minor league C Alonso Checchinato, 17-year old minor league LHP Jorge RodrÃguez, 22-year old minor league C Ron Ryan, a 2nd round draft pick, and a 5th round draft pick. Both sides are said to be pleased with the way the trade worked out. This year, Wright is hitting .371 with 8 home runs and 25 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .454 clip and scored 28 runs. |
