Trouble in San Francisco, Alvarado Suffers Setback
Wednesday, June 29th , 2016
Cristo Alvarado was taking it slow and easy nursing a sore shoulder back to good health, when he suffered a setback. According to a San Francisco team official, "Cristo was making excellent progress and it appeared he would return to the squad ahead of schedule. But then he reinjured it in a light workout." Club doctors now say the 38-year-old Seals starting pitcher will be out at least another 1-2 weeks.

To date this season, Alvarado sports a 2-11 mark with a 5.01 ERA in 15 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .251 batting average and has 88 strikeouts in 91.2 innings.
