June's Spotlight Falls on Rookie Star Friday, July 1st , 2016 June's #1 rookie was pitcher Gary Allen of Portland. He muzzled Pacific Coast League hitters and held them in check all month long to capture the Rookie of the Month award. For the month of June the 22-year-old Allen recorded a 3-1 won-lost mark with a 2.95 ERA and 16 strikeouts in 18.1 innings. Currently Allen has a 5-1 won-lost record in 0 starts with a 3.08 ERA.
