Lyons Goes 5-for-5

Kevin Lyons was sizzling at the plate. In a game played at Derks Field, the Phoenix center fielder blistered the Salt Lake City Locusts for 5 hits in 5 at-bats to pace his club to a good 7-1 victory.
"Lyons was too tough to get out," Locusts skipper Nate McGinty said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too."
Kevin Lyons hit a solo-shot off Matt Cook in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Matt Cook in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Walt Taylor in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 8th.
This season, Lyons is hitting at a .320 pace with 44 home runs, 91 RBIs and has scored 68 times.
