Tristan Veronese Captures PL Award Monday, July 11th , 2016 23-year-old Tristan Veronese sent shock waves through Big Sky Baseball last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Pioneer League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Veronese made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .417 average, 10 hits in 24 at-bats, 6 home runs and 17 runs batted in. Where the Reno Silver Sox left fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Veronese certainly made his mark last week. Thus far in 2016, Veronese is hitting .296 with 25 home runs, 88 RBIs, 48 runs scored and has compiled a .364 OBP. |
