Miners KO Chords Wednesday, October 1st , 2014 The Butte Miners pulled out all the stops tonight, winning the Round 3 in a hard-fought series with the Austin Chords. It was a seesaw affair, but with a 5-0 victory at Alumni Coliseum, Butte lay claim to the franchise's 3rd championship. "There's no denying we faced a tough opponent," said Julián Castro. "But as the old saying goes, 'when the going gets tough, the tough get going,' and that's what we did today." The champs finished the regular season 89-55 and claimed first place in the Pacific AAA AAA Pacific North . A victory parade is set to be schedule in Butte in the days to come. View Boxscore |
