Esteban Candelária Bashes Three over the Wall Saturday, September 5th , 2015 In a powerful performance that left the fans at Bakersfield Grounds buzzing, Bakersfield Basques center fielder Esteban Candelária blasted a trio of home runs en route to a win, 7-5, over the Laguna Beachers. "Everything was clicking," Candelária told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them." Candelária shined brilliantly in the win, with 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Basques manager said. "Esteban played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game." Esteban Candelária hit a solo-shot off Jorge Ruíz in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jorge Ruíz in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Jorge Ruíz in the 5th, hit a two-run triple in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. This season, Candelária is hitting .269 with 26 home runs. |
