Steelers, Norris Silence Texarcana, 3-0 Monday, September 14th , 2015 It wasn't easy but the Shreveport Steelers made it look that way. Starter Tim Norris shut out the Texarcana Hilljacks despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Shreveport Steelers cruised to victory, 3-0. Norris allowed only 4 hits and rang up 8 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up." To date this season, Norris has registered 20 starts, 8-5 won-lost mark, 2.69 ERA, 154 IP, 144 strikeouts and 28 walks. Opposing teams have hit .198 against him. View Boxscore |
