Big Horn Prevail, as Round 2 Goes to the Wire
Friday, September 25th , 2015
The fans in Cheyenne are delirious, while there is little joy to be found in Shreveport.
The Cheyenne Big Horn finished off the Shreveport Steelers 5-1 in the deciding game of the Round 2 played at Big Horn Ballpark.
They took the series 3-2 and will now head to the Round 3.
For his standout play, Cheyenne second baseman Tony Bustamante was voted the series' Most Valuable Player.
He batted .263, drove in 4 runs and scored 3 to lead his club to victory.
"We could never really figure out how to pitch to Bustamante and that doomed us," said Steelers manager . "Hats off to Cheyenne, though. That was a great series."
The Cheyenne Big Horn will play against the Santa Cruz Sailors in the next round. Santa Cruz won their series against the San Jose Foghorns 3 games to 1. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes.
