Bruce Whiffs 16, Shreveport Tops St. Joseph Sunday, April 24th , 2016 Don Bruce of the Shreveport Steelers put on a pitching clinic at Henderson Grounds, as he struck out 16 St. Joseph Riders in a 3-0 victory. Bruce was simply magnificent, holding the Riders to 2 hits. He walked 3. "I felt okay at the beginning," Bruce said, "but eventually my curveball really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game." When asked about Bruce's performance, Steelers manager shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was good out there today. He was dominating."
