3-HR Day for Nice
Sunday, May 1st , 2016
Tucson Nets center fielder Bo Nice put on a dazzling display of power at Field of the Foghorns against the San Jose Foghorns. In the 9-1 Nets victory, Nice penned his name into the record books, slamming a trio of home runs in one of baseball's finest single-day efforts.
"He can hit them out anywhere, right, center, left, it doesn't matter," San Jose manager said. "He's super strong and stays on the ball so well."
Along with his three home runs, the 23-year-old had 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off," Nice said after the game, when asked about his hitting philosophy. "The right pitch will come, and when it does, be prepared to run the bases. Or trot around them, like I did today."
Bo Nice flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Brandon Ganderton in the 4th, walked in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Brandon Ganderton in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Henry Barrett in the 9th.
Nice is batting at a .198 pace this season, picking up 17 hits in 86 at-bats with 10 home runs, 11 RBIs and 14 runs scored.
