Duluth Shuts Out Shreveport Behind Maldonado, 8-0 Friday, May 20th , 2016 The Shreveport Steelers met their match today in Duluth hurler Júlio Maldonado. He kept them guessing the whole game and spun a 4-hit shutout. "He just worked us over," Shreveport skipper said. "He probably didn't even need a shower after the game -- he barely worked up a sweat." In the 8-0 victory, Maldonado whiffed 16 and gave up 4 walks. This season, Maldonado has a 3-3 mark in 9 starts with a 3.51 ERA. He has given up 53 hits in 59 innings, struck out 82 and issued 14 walks.
