Hit Streak Now at 20 for Villanueva Tuesday, May 31st , 2016 Luis Villanueva has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 22-year-old Hutchinson Salt Hawks center fielder extended his streak to 20 games, going 2-for-4 as Hutchinson got the best of the Palm Springs Power at Hobart-Detter Field, 13-3. "Luis has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Salt Hawks manager said. Luis Villanueva flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th and flied out in the 6th. At present, Villanueva is batting .311 with 51 hits and 16 home runs. He has knocked in 37 runs and scored 35 times. |
