Johnston Booms 3 out of the Park Monday, June 6th , 2016 Bill Johnston was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 7-0 Ontario Beavers triumph at Billies Ballpark. The 23-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Beavers past the Palm Springs Power. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Johnston told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The left fielder went 3-for-3, rung up 5 RBIs and scored 3 runs on his record-setting day. Bill Johnston walked in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 8th. Johnston is hitting .291 this year with 11 home runs and 27 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .400, 10 walks and scored 13 times. |
