Dominant Performance by Valedón in Denver Win
|
The Denver Grizzlies used a great performance from former first round draft pick Miguel Valedón to beat the Kansas City Jacks, 1-0, at Jellystone Park. Getting the save was Kent Hopkins, his 3rd. Now 4-6, the Jacks have gotten off to a poor start.
Valedón, who leaned on his cutter, allowed no runs on just 3 hits over 6.1 innings for the Grizzlies. For the most part, Kansas City hitters were simply overmatched.
"Miguel was in attack mode the whole game," said Denver manager Chris Needham.
