The Las Vegas Strip spoiled a good performance by Dallas right fielder Guillermo Maes, bumping off Dallas, 6-4, at Burnett Field. Maes was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The Eagles drop to 5-6 and continue their mediocre start to the 2015 season.

Pedro González had a big 2-run double for the Strip in the top of the sixth inning. With Las Vegas leading 3-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Cecil Rivera, who finished 2nd in the PL in innings pitched with 238.0 last year, and swatted a double to center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Strip ahead, 5-0.

"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said González.
