Multnomah Stadium was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Portland Beavers and Mexico City Aztecs.

The Portland Beavers beat the Mexico City Aztecs, 5-4, at Multnomah Stadium. Portland left fielder Jim Poole led the way. He went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Portland has a record of 5-5.

Portland took a 5-4 lead on Ramiro Molina's 1st double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Molina hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Mexico City pitcher Brian Forryan visibly frustrated.

"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Poole told the Portland Daily News. "Whatever it takes."
