Jacks Improve to 7-6 with 8-5 Win
The Kansas City Jacks withstood an impressive performance by Minneapolis right fielder José Vásquez to defeat the Millers, 8-5, at Arthur Bryant Ballpark. Vásquez went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Xu-gang Lau got credit for the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 5 runs on 11 hits in 6 innings. The loss drops the Millers to 5-8.

In the bottom of the fifth, Nate Brown delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the Kansas City center fielder hit a 2-run single, putting the Jacks in front, 8-5.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Brown said.
