The Austin Cowboys earned a win at Clark Field, knocking off the Reno Silver Sox, 3-2. On the bump for Austin was right-hander Jorge Ayala. He had a starring role in the triumph. Getting the save was Will Goodwin, his 4th. With the win, Austin improves its record to 7-7.

Luis López was 1 for 3 with a double for Austin. The two-time All-Star had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Gabriel Ordóñez. It was his 11th RBI of the season.

"Jorge was dictating to their hitters," said Austin manager John Kolman.
