In a tight contest between the Austin Cowboys and the Reno Silver Sox, Tomás Meléndez was the determining factor. The Austin left-hander sparkled in his team's 3-1 win. Will Goodwin notched his 5th save of the season. With the win, Austin improves its record to 8-7.

Austin took control in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and the bases loaded, Roberto Ruíz hit a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Cowboys.
