Stallions Collect 10-8 Win Over Ironhorse
Fans brought energy and enthusiasm to the Sacramento Ironhorse home opener. Mick Hammond started for the home team against Gomes Taboada for the San Bernardino Stallions. The Ironhorse were unable to reward the home crowd with a win. The final score was 10-8, San Bernardino, in 11 innings. Alan Maitland, though, was impressive. San Bernardino reliever Nate Camacho picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Sam Neal was saddled with the loss.

San Bernardino needed the clutch hitting of Carl García to seal the deal. The catcher swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Stallions on top, 10-8. For the game, García had 1 home run and 2 singles in 6 at-bats.

"There's no quit in this team," said Stallions manager Brick B.
