The Las Vegas Strip and Homer Yetis provided some drama for the home crowd.

Homer beat Las Vegas at Banditos Ballpark, escaping with a 4-3 win. The win in large part was due to third baseman Bill Hicks. He was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Barry Jennings picked up the win with 7.1 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 2-2.

Homer used a well-timed hit by Daniel Clements to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Yetis ahead, 4-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"This was a total team effort," said Hicks.

Las Vegas, at 6-14, is off to a poor start in 2015.
