Ball Delivers Walk-Off Win for Stallions
Despite the exploits of first baseman Tadaaki Matsumoto, the Portland Beavers were beaten by the San Bernardino Stallions, 8-7, in 10 innings. Matsumoto was 2-5 with a home run. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Nate Camacho picked up the win in relief for San Bernardino, while Leonardo Pérez took the loss. Portland falls to 9-11.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the tenth for San Bernardino. That's when Matt Ball hit a run-scoring double off 27-year old right-handed pitcher Leonardo Pérez to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"Like I've always said, I'm the straw that stirs the drink," Ball said (again).
